Membership

We are now accepting dues for 2026.  Membership is for calendar year.  New prestigious levels of membership are: 

 $20 Individuals 

 $25 Family 

 $50 Historian 

 $100 Archivist 

 $250 and above, Preservationist 

Preservationist Members have the option to be included on our website as dedicated members. 

Checks for dues can be mailed to SGHS, PO Box 14, Tenants Harbor, ME 04860 or can be paid online at the Membership & Donations page.  Thank you!

Our Museum and Headquarters are located in the original Jackson Memorial Library at 38 Main Street, Tenants Harbor. 


Open: Saturdays 10am to 2pm, May 23, 2026, through October 10, 2026, or by chance or appointment.

mission statement

 

Purposes (including, but not limited to)

  • Serve as headquarters and business office for the Society
  • Provide an area for the Society collections that do not need archival storage
  • Serve as a resource and reference library on the history and genealogy of St George
  • Display on a rotating basis the collections of the Society
  • Be open on a regular schedule – and by appointment - for public visits
  • Work with the St George School as a resource for the history of St George.
