You're Invited to Our Museum Annual Open House! Enjoy complimentary wine, curated refreshments, and great conversation in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Experience our latest displays that bring history and culture to life. Connect with our Trustees and get a behind the scenes look at what's ahead for our museum.
Our Museum is located in the original Jackson Memorial Library. The Museum will be open for the 2026 season starting on Saturday, May 23rd, and will be open every Saturday thru October 10th and on November 28 for St George Yuletide. Hours: 10am to 2pm, or by appointment.
The Museum will be open most Wednesday mornings 9-12 year-round. Please look for the open flag.

On Monday May 12, 2025, the voters overwhelming authorized the Town to enter into 3 leases with the St George Historical Society for the town owned properties located at Marshall Point Lighthouse Museum, the Schoolhouse Museum and our headquarters, the St George Historical Society Museum at 38 Main Street (Referendum questions 3, 4 and 5). The St. George Historical Society looks forward to a bright future in which we continue to collect, preserve and present the rich history of the Town of St. George!

The St George Historical Society is proud to invite you to our latest installment of The Villages of St George: Elmore (Harks Neck). The program will be held at Blueberry Cove Camp. The presentations will be followed by a walk (weather permitting) down Harts Neck Road into the district known as Elmore.
